Artist Statement / Bio
Rebecca Boatman received her graduate degree from Texas Woman's University in Ceramics in 1986 and is professor of art at Collin College in Frisco, Texas. She owned The Art Annex in Coppell, Texas from 1992 through 2004 where she offered classes, artist studios and maintained a gallery. Other teaching positions include Jefferson Preparatory Academy in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Coppell High School, and North Lake College in Irving. Her present studio is located near White Rock Lake in Dallas. Every fall she participates in the White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour, the oldest tour in the metroplex. Her sculptures are included in collections throughout the U.S. including Orton International Cone Box Collection, Johnson & Johnson, Xerox Corporation, Eastman Kodak, and Volunteer Hospitals of America. Her other interests include world travel and gardening.
